Our Project

The main priority of European Union is better recognize the literary diversity in Europe. The culture of the EU consists of cinema, music, dance, theatre and literature. The last is basis of the these genres and is considered as the most important branch of Art that establishes intercultural connections. Literature is considered not only to belong to one nation but also to be the common artistic product of all nations.

This Literary project allows students to express and name their emotions. From abstract forms, e.g. illustrating emotions using Lego, to activities that allow  to express emotions directly. Creating maps of emotions in the classroom space opened up space for discussion and showed that everyone can feel something different. Working with texts is a pretext for a long discussion. It made  possible to talk about important and difficult emotions from a safe distance.

It made students encourage others to get acquainted with a book, to read at all, or to arrange the schoolmates to start reading. It is really challenging as young students look for easy way to survive and pass school life with the least effort.

Looking at cultural norms, patterns of thinking and behavior allows participants to better understand their life situation. Critical reflection on reality builds students' self-awareness and autonomy. Most students have  changed their attitudes, they developed  new solutions to old problems and resistance to manipulation.

Moreover education through art engages the intellect and emotions, offering a safe point of reference and an experience that allows students to better absorb knowledge. It creates a space for peer-to-peer exchange of opinions and interpretations, contributing to the development of empathy and understanding of others.

Creative activities allow students to awaken spontaneous curiosity, sensitivity and creativity. Young people were involved in matters of their immediate surroundings, providing an opportunity to change their relationship with them and become more socially aware.
